Bunny Hopping...?

anyone got any tips on it?

First, train the Bunny to sit really still without moving and get it accustomed to you riding your unicycle near it. Then when you are confident that the Bunny is not scared, ride up towards it and with your pedals horizontal, jump, pushing down on both pedals with your feet so that your body moves upwards, and lift gently on your seat (use the handle if you have one) and the unicycle should follow you upwards into the air. Try not to land on the Bunny unless it is the Duracell representative in which case make sure you land on it.

I suck at hopping. I can only do a little more than 30cm perhaps. My technique is flawed and is not consistent. When you do it right it feels good, and you have to try and remember what you did so you can repeat it in future hops. Seat height makes a difference, the lower the seat the higher your hopping potential becomes to a certain extent. Also a bouncy tire like a 3" Gazzaloddi can aid in springyness. I think for a regular 20"x1.75" unicycle you are best to start off hopping up gutters and stuff like that. You will find that sometimes the pedals are positioned just right (horizontal) and it is easy to get up. Other times you might get to the gutter and the pedals are in a more difficult place (vertical) and your hop can become gutless. After a while you learn to adjust to this by riding towards the curb at an angle, and you automatically find the ideal spot to jump and the cranks line themselves up.
