I’m building a giraffe and I was wondering how to tension the chain, or where to put the tensioner . Please help. I’ll type you a song from Monty Python if you help (it’s all I have to offer).
no one?

I guess they should be at the bottom of the frame on either side,
pulling the wheel downwards* when tightening the bolts. Similar to a
bike turned vertical (front wheel up).
- Well, relative to the frame that is. If the wheel is on the ground,
they actually push the frame upwards.

Just what Klaas says. The part with the hole goes on the wheels bolt for the axil. And the other part pushes the frame up. Dont get the bullet proof ones they slip off all the time. Get the primo chain tentioner its way better you got a block of metal on the frame and not little bults that slip off.
Thank you very much, both of you. What song do you want to hear (see)?
deer dance SOAD

The one that you think is the funniest. (I think I only know Always
Look On the Bright Side of Life, and The Spam Song).

I like Chinese (song)
(this song is not to offend, it is just a funny Monty Python song)
Spoken intro:
The world today seems absolutely crackers,
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high,
There are fools and idiots sitting on the trigger,
It’s depressing and it’s senseless,
and that’s why…
Sing:
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
They only come up to your knees,
Yet they’re always friendly, and ready to please.
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
There’s nine hundred million of them in the world today,
You’d better learn to like them,
and that’s why I say:
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
They come from a long way overseas,
But they’re cute and they’re cuddly,
and they’re ready to please.
I like Chinese food,
The waiters never are rude,
Think of the many things they’ve done to impress,
there’s Maoism, Taoism, I Ching and Chess.
So I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their zen, their ping-pong, their yen and yang-ese.
I like Chinese thought,
The wisdom Confucious taught,
If Darwin is anything to shout about,
The Chinese will survive us all without any doubt,
So I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They only come up to your knnees,
yet they’re wise and they’re witty,
and they’re ready to please.
(Verse in Chinese)
(English again)
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
Their food is guarenteed to please,
a fourteen, a seven, a nine and lychees.
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their yin and yang-ese,
(fade)
I like Chinese,
I like Chinese…

When you are wandering about in town have a looked at the chain tensioner on a motorbike (preferably a parked one). These are very solid, I used this design on mine.
There is poor quality pic here:

I’ve got no Giraffe building advice but would like to hear (see)
“Never be rude to an Arab” ?
or
“I’ve got two legs”
or even
“Eric the Half a Bee”, that song lent its name to the “Eric the Half a bike” trick.
Go on, it’ll be good.
