BUC7 passes, Monkeys won.

I thought I saw a dog keyring in Ali’s bag, but I didn’t see or hear any out
of the bag.

I also thought I saw someone wearing a multicoloured salamander hairband on
Friday - but I suspect that she was already wearing it when she arrived and it
had nothing to do with the convention.

In the war of the Passes at BUC7 I think it safe to say that the monkeys won on
volume, but the ducks won on cuteness. While the frogs were more controlable
and could be persauded to emit half, one or two croaks. Those were prehaps the
best convention passes since the pink tooth brush I got at Lancaster a few
years back.

For those who are now thinking I’m off my rocker ( again) this years BUC passes
were fashion accessories, hair or wrist bands for riders, keyrings for
non-riders, that made noises when you squashed the animals head. Frogs, Ducks,
Cows, Monkeys and elephant. Did I miss any?

Great fun.

Sarah,

The moneys might have been the loudest they were not he most wanted… the
cows ran out first and were great for swaps.

I wore mine on my ankle and was occasionally shocked by “Moo Moo Moo” when I
knelt on the floor. This included a quiet section during the show… opps.

Standing in front of everyone during the convention meeting at the end when all
the animals starting making noises almost made me fall about laughing.

Roger

My other half was very taken with my frog. I tried to explain that frogs are not
fundamental to unicycling but it just didn’t seem to matter.

But I’m happy to report that Trina’s unicycle earrings also went down well.

Perhaps she’s still hoping for a prince.

Oh, no! You’re not meant to eat them! Frogs, yes. Jewelry, no!

I cannot vouch for the dog (ask Ali), but the salamander was there by cheer
coincidence. It made no noise, but Anne (the owner) is known to squeak if
pressed in the right places!! Her pass was an elephant key ring bye the way & I
thought that the ducks where a nice colour shame about the number of wings.
