Brrrrrrrrr..........

Brrrrrrrr…

Coldest day of the year and my furnace stopped working…

untitled-1.gif

that sucks. in central iowa its 6. Almost the coldest day so far this year. i might have to make a lap around the driveway if it gets much colder. gotta keep up with those swedes(?? maybe) who posted about riding when its -10.

They were probably talking about celsius… 0 degrees fahrenheit is -18 degrees celsius.

It’s going to be 66 here…

i think those guys actaully used F not celsius. or did the conversion. it was in the “what’s the coldest you’ve ridden in” thread.

I rode in -15 f last week, but know its back up to about 28f.

meh. I rode to school today, and it was something like -10 F.

I bet the furnace gets fixed faster than the galleries

I dunno… I just got heat now, but if you include the time to make the money to pay for the service/parts, it’d take a while.

Re: Brrrrrrrrr…

Pff… It was -36°C (-33°F) when I started my car this morning. Wind chill was -48°C (-54°F). And the place I work has no furnace. So far this is the coldest day of the year… maybe I should go for a ride tonight to set a record! See if the Swedes can keep up with that!

Right now it’s -31°C

FEELS LIKE -41°C
WIND SW 11 km/h
GUSTS
RELATIVE HUMIDITY 61%

This is the longest (not the coldest though, not by a long shot) cold snap I ever remember having around here. So far it’s been about 3 weeks of miserable cold.

I guess it could pretend to represent the crazy swedes.

I’ve ridden in -23_°C the coldest, that was in early december or so.
But now, it’s a real warm winter, we haze 0°C right now, and it use to be like -20! Damnit!

edit:
I have ridden snowboard in -32°C, it was snowing those very small and very hard flowflakes… and 35MPH wind coming UP the slope, you had to pretend to be the classical meatball to actually go downwards on the not so steap parts.
But when riding on the steap parts, with 35 mph wind in your face, and actually going down the slope in 20 mph, then it’s a bit chilly!
And, i nearly frose my toes beoynd recognition.

record breaking 71 degrees here today…

ah ah its 77 here ha ha suckas

Re: Re: Brrrrrrrrr…

The chinook has arrived! 4 days later and it’s 40°C warmer!
