all of the cars in red equal awesome! Especially the Mini and the Smart.
Nice jeep! We just bought a 1998 Jeep Wrangler yesterday! its like new! Ill Post pics sometime.
awesome! Are you into offroading?
Everywhere in the U.P. is off-road.
actually i saw a top gear video of jeremy talking about the gay car list its quite funny, they used the same list as up there … the mercedes SL 55 AMG is most certainly NOT GAY
I figured I throw in another picture:
Were you racing her?
Yet again…
Mm, so the nut came off the end of the axle then?
If it makes you feel any better, the pictures look cool.
I don’t see anything wrong in the pictures. What am I missing?
…I hope you’re kidding, Matt. Look at the wheel. Or, try to at least.
Why does that make it broken? Can he not just put another one on?
I made a u-turn and the wheel bolts all sheared in half. I came to a stop and noticed my tire rolling ahead of me, it was quite a comical experience actually.
I have to get new bolts, the body is bent a little and the tire tore my fender flare in half.
I think your wheels/tires are a little bigger than your Jeep was designed for…
My brother-in-law has a red Jeep similar to yours. His also spends most of its time sitting in his driveway, waiting to be fixed. I guess it’s like old MGs or Harleys; the time they spend running is worth all their high maintenance?
I was never crazy about having to fix broken unicycles all the time. I’m very happy now that I can buy one that, for the most part, won’t break.
They definitely aren’t meant for it; I plan to get beefier axles when I finish school.
My jeep is a little more maintenance then a typical car, but not much more. Also, if doing that stuff is a hobby, then I certainly don’t mind doing the little bit of maintenance required.
I hope you have another vehicle to drive in the meantime. Was it the axle bolt that sheered off or the lug bolts? If it’s just the axle bolt, it shouldn’t be too hard to get a new/used axle from a scrap yard. I recently did a bit of work to one of my Jeeps with a new front axle, coils and shocks. With stock replacements, it’s looking real nice with what looks like about a 2" lift…
Hope it goes back together well and remember, “it’s always something…”
