Broke 100 on RSU

Just logged on this morning and looked at the number of users browsing RSU. 103 !! I don’t think I’ve personally seen it over 100 before.

I have, I think. Not much though…

Isn’t the record like 200 something?

It was 105 a minute ago, with 84 guests.

That’s a lot of lurkers!

this will turn into the track how many people are in rsu right now thread soon,
and ape. they might not be lurkers, they could be members unsigned in seeing if there is anything good to sign in a post about

Most of them are evil google search spiders.

111 viewing now!

It’s probably been over plenty of times, but you’re only counting those who read rsu via the forum and ignoring those of us who read via usenet or the mailing list :stuck_out_tongue:

Rather, the record is 569.
Under “What’s Going On?”, at the moment that I write this, it says:

Currently active users: 223 (11 members and 212 guests)
Most users ever online was 589, 2006-02-22 at 11:32 PM.
Klaas Bil, aster, Beener, Brian O., harper, iridemymuni, Jester2000,
paco, toddw9, tomsey, wogri

Actually, it’s Yahoo’s spider that has the large number of spiders showing. It’s based on IP address and Yahoo seems to use a lot for spidering, whereas google appears to use a proxy to appear from a smaller number of IP addresses.

I’ll have to see if there is a way to not show the spiders in the who’s online count, as it’s just not accurate then with it showing all those.

that was me testing a weakness of vBulletin (and waisting Gilby’s time).

I think he only means for RSU, not the entire site.
