Come on, why are we bringing back threads from like, five years ago? Sure if it’s a relevant thread like someone wants to bring up a topic again - and sure, reading the ‘help its just not “cool”’ thread was interesting to say the least - but no one asked for it to be brought back, it was just brought back because its old.
And to tell you the truth, Zombies scare me, and I don’t like them wandering around the forum.
Now, my gripe is that I would much rather keep threads like, I dunno, maybe the Uniman Comic on the front page a tincy bit longer so people can see it. If you’re being a Thread Necromancer because you’re bored… read the Uniman Comic Panel Descriptions instead! Woohoo!
There you go, this is thread is for purely selfish reasons.

I brought it back because I thought it was interesting and educational in many ways.
Personally, I get appalingly bored after reading more than two sentences from your uniman comic, it just doesn’t appeal to me.
And what on Earth do you mean by bringing threads from the dead? Threads are not dead, they are just old. Just because something is old doesn’t mean it’s any less interesting. Often it’s even more interesting because it sometimes puts things a new/old perspective.
So, please stop telling other people what to do. You don’t see me creating threads like “Please stop the uniman comic, it’s freaking boring”, do you?

Edit: Sorry, this might have been a bit harsh, but I’m sort of pissed off that I have school tomorrow and it is pretty annoying when people tell you to stop doing something just because they don’t like it.
Ivan, no need to apologise, you make a fair point.
Maybe I was whinging a little (I am, after all, English).
Maybe I was trying to advertise the comic in a really subtley obvious way thus creating a few murmurings related to laughter.
But I wasn’t telling you what to do, honest. I even put a little self-derogatory thing about the thread being selfish. It was me trying to make a point about threads that are brought back for no reason - okay, so forget the help its not cool thread, what about the ‘voice chat anyone’ thread?
To be completely honest, I was just disapointed that these threads amongst others are the ones responsible for pushing back the comic thread. But hey, I guess that’s just what forums are like. At least this is still the best managed forum I’ve ever been on.
That’s cool if you find the comic boring - if I had the ability to write something that everybody was into I’d be a millionaire by now. In fact I have absolutely no idea what people think of the comic, and if enough people told me to stop clogging the fora with it I would be happy to kill him off. (unless of course some other people actually did want it continued of course.)
I respect that - but I hope you now know what I was trying to say.

Honestly Samia, if someone goes and brings back the uniman (which i for one do not have the concentration span to actually read) thread in say 6 years, would you be complaining?
I have brought him back which is why I’m slightly disapointed at how quickly it goes to page two - I mean, obviously you don’t read it but I think (according to Ducttape) a few people do but they don’t get a chance to see it is updated because they aren’t logged on all the time.
And I’m happy to face the fact that its not good enough for anybody to care much since no one has actually come forward to say they like it (apart from the aforementioned Dt). But if people are so bored as to fish out really old threads, why aren’t they bored enough to read the comic?
Hang on a second here… now I’m taking myself too seriously. It’s not like there’s any obligation to write or read it. However I enjoy writing it, it would be nice if people had a chance to read it too.
But this isn’t even the point - I didn’t like reading through these interesting posts to find at the end that they are actually five years old - it’s like my opinion on the subject wouldn’t matter anymore because the original poster has long gone.
hmm, to me it sort of well isn’t a comic. The comics i am used to are easy to read and have nice pictures. It isn’t that i dont want to read it, it is just i am too busy to do so the majority of the time.
If i open a thread and all i see is large chunks of text going for pages and pages i will usually just move one to something else. I save the chunky text parts for study time.
Yeah I know what you mean. It’s a major flaw… I’ve tried to make it easier to read by using bold, italics, and so on. Unfortunately in the new thread (the original was in a thread called “Unicyclist Superhero?”) none of the formatting survived being copied and pasted.
But I figure if you’re caught up in the series and have a few mins, it’s a quick read, plus it promotes Visualisation! Whoopee!
Oh, puhleeze. You made the thread because the other ones were dying. You couldn’t help yourself. And once your current one dies off, you’ll create again for the same reason. Nothing wrong with creating those threads (just like nothing wrong with resurrecting old threads so please kwitcher bitching Samia), but give the collective forum membership credit for some brains.
