My seatposts and KH Street Saddles are just not lasting longer enough. I am always having problems with seatposts breaking at the weld and my KH seat bases cracking then eventually breaking in half. UDC Australia does not have the KH Stiffiner plates in =(
What can I do make these parts last longer?
(I ride aggressive street mainly on a 20" KH Trials)
dude you’re gonna have to save the money and buy a CF base. it’s the only way to save you from buying a new saddle every other week(or so it seems i’m sure. lol) as far as the seat post breaking goes you’re on your own because i still have that problem. i’ve yet to find a seatpost that lasts more than 3 months for me.
Everyone will break seatposts one day. But, with a CF base, you wont break your saddle again! you will still break seatposts though, get a new KH Forged seatposts, they are the best for what I heard.
get a cf base then get a cromo post and weld a gusset at the top, end of story
if you can’t buy a cf seat, weld something on top of your old seat stiffener so that it is stronger before you break the base.

I bought a CF from the NZ site took a while to turn up but totally worth it though, i was breaking stifners and plastic bases all the time! I still break posts though…and the new Cromoly seat post i got doesnt fit in to my frame!! gunna try taking the paint off it hopefully it fits then. also might weld gussets on the front and back so it doesnt break again.
Like I told you in Aus. If your seats stiffener plate has broken, your seat post will start to become loose, you’ll tighten it, your seat will become flat and so will your post, your post will lose its original shape and eventually break.
With a CF base, your seat post will stay in its original shape, stay strong and break less. (I’ve only broken ONE post ever since I got my cf base, but everyone is different)
Wow, you guys all still breaking posts??? (must be your technique :p)
Yeah i broke one trying to re-learn double flips after uni-nats, and one the other day 180’ing up something. going to weld gussets on my new one if i can make it fit in the frame!!
