I just picked a new KH24. What kind/type brakes are y’all running. I took a set of magura rim brakes I had on my 29 and I’m going to try these out. But I was thinking of picking up a set of disc brakes. This KH is the newer frame with both tabs ( rim and disc ) welded on the frame
I’ve got Maguras on mine. They work fine, but I’ve broken the plastic hoses a few times. Once notably when my tire was caked in a massive amount of mud. You can’t beat the price on something you’ve already got.
Just a personal preference, I like running a 24 brakeless. I find it way more fun and, at leased for me, faster because I have no choice but to sometimes “run it out”. If you are going for a brake, disc brakes are a little overkill for a 24 most of the time so maguras should be fine.
On my KH36 I have a Shimano M596 with a nice Avid clean sweep 160 rotor. I chose this brake after reading good things about it here - it’s cheap and reliable and fit to the KH frame with zero problems 
If you look in reviews sections there’s a huge disk brake thread if you’d like more options/suggestions - lots of people seems to be very keen on TRP spyre/spyke mechanical disk brakes, so that could also be an option for you.
The rotor is also somewhere you can play around size wise. I haven’t bothered on my KH36, and on a 24" I’d stick with 160mm just to keep things neater - but if you need more power - some say up the rotor size, others say a more powerful brake…
Seeing as you have the disk tab on your frame, go for a disk. KH’s set up is fantastically simply.

I do have a set of magura rim brakes on there now, but I took them off a 29 I have so I would like to get another set for the 24.
With my old knees I need brakes on some of the hills I ride. Not to mention my skills on the muni aren’t as good as some of y’alls.
I’m leaning towards the disc but don’t know which set.
