yes i think it was a record, the frame will not fit a 26x2.215 tyre like the steel frames do. it not that the crown is lower.its that the frame tubing is larger.
i wanted to fit both wheel sizes like
Hunters and 04 KH’s do.
also of interest is that the sig and logo are etched into the paint,not a clear coated over sticker like b4. removing them is impossible without a full paint strip and painting back over the medal.
Talking of logos, the bedford sticker looks so out of place and ugly on the frame, whatever possessed anyone to put it there?
It looks a heck of a lot better than a UDC sticker. My 05 KH 24 frame just BARELY clears my 3.0 Gazz. I need to get the wheel trued, it’s slightly dished, so it just rubs.
I hate it when they put stickers that obviously look terrible all over a uni, or I guess anything for that matter. One of my friends got a nimbus 29’er, and it had a huge ugly black udc sticker on the nice chrome frame. They were a bit better about it with my freestyle I ordered - put the stickers on the inside of the frame so you really have to look to see 'em. I don’t mind having the logo of whoever sold me the uni somewhere on the uni - the LBS put one on my giraffe - but it’s got to be small, or out of the way such that it’s not an eyesore. Otherwise it’s coming off, and screw whoever put it there.
