Bookmark Icon for unicyclist.com?

Just wondering if Gilby or anyone else can make a bookmark icon for unicyclist.com? Almost every bookmark I have has a nice little icon (facebook has blue square with white f, Wikipedia a big W, Craigslist a purple peace sign, etc.) but I am missing one of my favorites, this site! Right now it’s just an ugly empty page. Does anyone know how to fix that or add an icon? I tried searching the forums but nothing came up. Any info would be great!

They’re called favicons. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gilby already has one made. If not, someone could shrink down the unicyclist.com logo guy and make one for him, but it’s still up to Gilby to post it.

Not too long ago I made one for my own web site. The hard part was getting the logo to be recognizable in such a tiny size…

Wait a minute, my Firefox (3.6, Mac) shows the Unicyclist.com icon on my “Bookmarks Toolbar”. It also shows in the Bookmarks list. But it shows a generic “star” favicon in the browser address bar.

Hmm…I’m using firefox for my Toshiba and all I have is a blank page as the icon…very annoying. Gilby help!

at favicon.cc you can generates .ico files by uploading images

Thanks guys for all the info. After doing some more research I found that there is an add-on for firefox that lets you easily change the favicons https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3176. I then saved the unicyclists.com’s unicycle guy, cropped it so it was square and then used one this website to make it a favicon. Changed the properties with the add-on and bingo! Now all my bookmarks have nice little icons.

I also used the www.favicon.cc to create a unicycle icon for my website, www.uniproshow.com! But it’ll take a day or two before it shows up…

…and using the right extention and/or content-type parameter.
