If anyone is watching the Olympics right now, and you saw Bode’s almost crash… HOW INSANE WAS THAT!!! I literally fell over when I saw it. As a skier, a recovery like that is nearly impossible on skis that are 175cm long. Bode is on skis around 215cm. Anyway… just thought I’d share the insanity… im realizing that this thread will die a very quick and painful death… 
I can’t watch the Olympics…we don’t get NBC.

Yeah, it sucks. NBC won’t even let us subscribe to them through our satielite company.
All we get is “curling” and hockey on some other little channel…and in case ypu didn’t know, curling is lame.

Too bad he can’t seem to put the same focus into preparation as he puts into recovery. He’d have 3 medals now instead of nothing.
This Olympics has shown for sure the Bode hype is overblown. Every interview you hear someone apologize for the guy…“that’s just Bode being Bode”. Run that through the reality translator and you have “that’s just Bode modeling non-winning behavior”.

he has done the same thing before only he lost the trailing ski and continued on just one. its a high light im sure some have seen from the games in Salt Lake.

I think Bode should get some points for that recovery.

There’s a video clip on the BBC sport coverage of the Winter olympics, go to http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/
then select the ‘Live Winter Olympics: BBC TV Coverage’, to load up the BBC’s media player thingy. When that loads (you have to select your player type and internet speed), there’s a drop down box in the top right, with ‘CHOOSE A SPORT:’ in it, use that to select ‘Winter Olympics’. Then the list of videos on the right hand side changes to show the winter olympics stuff, you want ‘Mens Super-G Highlights’ under Day 8.
Good old fashioned simple-to operate BBC.

) That was indeed a fantastic recovery. How the trailing ski didn’t manage to fling his body round and him end up in a tangled mess was damn lucky I say.

I believe that Olympic viewership is down in the U.S. because Americans view them much the same way they view the United Nations. As a threat to U.S. hegemony and global domination.
under day eight for me it’s just some top gear thing and a skeleton thing. no skiing at all. no idea what’s going on
bode just about screwed himself in the GS just now too… silly bode… he only took an 11 minute inspection… seems like hes bored and needs to get really pissed off to me… but i could be wrong
