How is a wheel walk executed on a BMX bike?

Watch a bmx flat vid. You’ll probably see wheelwalking on it. Usually it’s done with the frame elevated and balanced on the front wheel. Then just walk the front wheel.

i gave up bmx pretty much when i got my 24 nimbus i had quite the collection torker,2 mongooses,3 haros 2 of which were revos one an alloy t-bone i got for nothing and made 150 from it i had an abd 540 never did much with it had a few old giants now i just have my repco hotfoot/standish old school just for cruising around on but will bemaking something very custom soon and will post pictures in this thread when finished.

I found pic’s of my last two BMX’s

First up is a full custom Hoffman Kagy.

And secondly, a full custom 2-Hip Pork. This one was my pride and joy.

What the hell does that thing weight?! Looks like 35+

I really, really want a bmx. I haven’t been on my trials uni since I got the bike… it has been months. I just love the feeling of bikes, the smoothness and grace. I’m probably going to build up a 24in street or just a used bmx.

get rid of that bmx or i"ll come around and cut it in half for you!..ellis!

Love those bikes! Proper 90’s bmx. All my bikes have been similar, fat, chunky and weigh a ton.

I hate all the modern bikes. All the guys I ride with are slightly younger than me and they are all obsessed with what their bikes look like and how much they weigh. I hate this craze about really low seats, how do they pedal when the’re sitting down?
Bmx has become another victim of fashion.

Lol, 35 is too light for me, the Hoffman weighed about 35, the 2-Hip was nearer 50.

Ta. I still have the 2-Hip frame, but I can’t justify building it up just for it to gather dust. I love bmx’s like this, you know they can handle what you can throw at them. I went down the route of getting an S&M Dirtbike, the piece of shit bent after a couple of crashes.

Yeah, I don’t see the point in having a stupidly light bmx when you can do shit all on it, and are easily outdone by someone on a tank like the 2-Hip. My mate had a pic of me doing an Abubaca onto the barrel of the cannon in Fareham town centre, I’ll see if he still has the pic.

Yeah, I saw when it bmx was starting to get over run with kids more concerned with how the bike looks that how it’ll handle what they can do, a daft age for bmx.

I’m getting a much smaller 20" BMX, will be fixed up maybe tomorrow. I just like jumping with them which I cant do on the uni. Its a bike small enough for a 10 year old, I like lol. But I’m getting nicer cranks and better wheels on it. Should be pretty sturdy. I need to get better on the uni to muni or ride a BMX, I keep breaking my MTB on the trails. Gets frustrating lol, and I dont weigh anything?

I don’t think I’d be sitting on my bmx much, I’ve got a roadie.

Don’t all of the ‘pros’ ride light bikes? Maybe I’m naive, but isn’t a lighter bike going to handle better?

My old cheapie bmx weighed 40 something. I got onto a proper bmx, new kind, and it felt amazing. This kid didn’t care about looks, he bough his stuff old and ugly. Made his bike ugly so people wouldn’t steel it. You could tell he rode it. His was 25.

I think a 50lb bike is going to hold you back at some point. That is ridiculous. You don’t need sub 20 with ti spindle and cranks and pedals, drilled everywhere, but 50 is rather outrageous.

My BMX will be 25 lbs. OK for me as 50 lbs is more then half my weight and wouldnt be fun at all for me. Nowadays, they can make things stronger with less weight. I cant lift a 30 lb bike, 25 lbs is pretty good, the race 20 lb. or less arent made to be sturdy so I pass. I wont ride aluminum any more for a bike. On my MTB I bent the rear stays and seriously, I dont weigh much! Just jumping logs I did that. At least if I snap the uni frame, I can get a nimbus for cheap compared to a bike.

Has anyone heard of anyone doing a forward crankflip (in the air) on a BMX bike?

I’ve landed a few of those a few days ago.

I’ve seen guys jump things without hands! I’m really glad I have my unis because my new bmx is still apart and might not be together to go to the track this Wed.

If any of you are looking to buy a BMX bike I’ve got something you might want to take a look at. I’m selling my BMX bike because unicycling has taken over my life and I have no time for two wheels any more. Most of the parts on the bike are Primo, but it has an Easton frame and a Kink sprocket. I purchased it from one of my friends who owns his own bike shop. He used to be a semi-professional BMX racer and this was the bike he raced on for a few years. It’s exactly 30 lbs and any damage to it is just scratches. There are no cracks or bends on any parts. I have zip ties on the frame to keep the brake cable next to the frame. The fork also has a pretty cool finish on it.

PLEASE MAKE AN OFFER. Even if you don’t want to buy it, could you tell me what you think it’s worth? I’ve got an idea of what I should sell it for, but I don’t want to say something way off and sound stupid.

Here are the pictures (WARNING: LOTS OF PICTURES):

I don’t ride BMX myself but we do carry three models of Eastern in the shop. Free shipping to the lower 48 states.

The Dew Tour starts in Chicago

This is my current ride

Don’t the pro’s have sponsors who give them the stupidly expensive light parts, or even own the company they ride for?

I can’t, well couldn’t when I was bmxing, ride lighter bmx’s, i don’t like the feel of them as they were far too twitchy.

You would think that, but if you’d have doubts if you saw what I could do on my 2-hip. Me and my mate for example, very close skill levels, we could equal eachother on most things, apart from he could barspin (I never bothered to learn them), and I could jump a lot higher. Whenever we swapped bikes, he couldn’t ride mine for shit, and I was no different on his bike than I was on mine (apart from the fact I didn’t like his light bike). I’m trying to get hold of a mate who had a pic of me jumping over a cannon, and a pic of me jumping onto the cannon.

That looks cool, apart from the uncomfy looking seat, lol.

Someone over here it set on getting me bmxing again, so out of curiosity I priced up a bmx that’d stand up to how I used to bmx. £1333.53 is what it’d cost, so unless he’s paying for it he can forget the idea of me bmxing again.

On another note, what the hell is going on nowadays with having to buy a BB kit when you buy a set of cranks? I used to be able to get Primo Powerbite’s at £110 with bearings, now places are charging £125 for Hollowbite’s and want another £20+ for the bearings that should be with the cranks anyway.

i dont ride bmx but i luv watching good bmx videos.
