i have an old bmx that i doubt i will ever touch and i would like a bc, could i just take off the front wheel and slap some bc plates onto it?

It depends on what size axel it has…
Bedford plates are drilled for 14mm, the bigger size
Me too. But DK is right, most bmx bikes (the kind that you never use cause they’re a pos) have a 10 mm hub. They work, but you can’t use bedford plates on them.
