Bike Trials - Anyone here ride?

Last summer I got a Trials Bike, didn’t ride it much, but this spring I am really excited to try to get good at the sport. I bought a 2003 Monty 219 Alp (the blue & white one) but I got Magura H33s on it. I think it is a good bike for learning.

So does anyone elses here ride Bike Trials?

I have been practicing lately. I have almost got pedal kicks, about 5 rear wheel hops (hopefully I will get it good soon), sidedrop, endo sidedrop, etc. Really basic stuff.

Here is a guy from my area who is my age, and is really good. He is sponsored by Meta Bikes.

Anyway, if anyone else on the forums likes the sport or rides it, lets chat about it.

I trained Bike Trials for a long time…i still have my bike… Echo/Megamo/Brisa… but now im training unicyling a lot…and i’m just riding the bike for fun!

There some pretty good riders here in Brazil… Cris Santos… Who won some USA championships is from Brazil  He’s a very cool guy  Here’s a video that he made with other friend of mine, marcio Rodrigues:

The channels name that you posted is Gas Gas Trials… Currently my father is the Brazilian Dealer of Gas Gas! :D:D:D

Bye

I would like to get into it, but trials bikes are expensive!

Exactly why I don’t have a trials bike yet.
:frowning:

hochberg does, and im workin on some with my modded bmx. i can hop on the back for a good while and hop a ledge about a foot and a half up

Search for second hand Echo, Gu, Adamant, Zoo and Czar bikes… They are not so expensive…

Monty and Koxx are very expensive… And they are easier to brake than Echo and other chinese bikes…!

Bike Trials are very fun… Ride around the city… just to relax :D:D:D

Bye

I used to ride trials. I found it really hard. Maybe because I was still young and I think it helps a lot to have a little more muscle.

That looks like a sick/expensive trials bike- why is he wearing soccer shin pads?

Nah, I have owned a trials bike before but I wouldn’t call the stuff I did trials. I learned some really basic stuff then sold it for the same price I bought it.

I have exactly the same bike im just learning aswell but my bike is a silver and red one

Levi, do you still have your bike? What is/what it?

He wears soccer shin pads because he doesn’t like 661s, and he wants light protection/

He rides an even nicer bike now;)

There is a pic of me doing a trackstand.

Yesterday I did a 45" Gap to rear.

I watched that guy’s video of him and some other people riding at Warsaw Caves, and it was really cool because I have been there so many times that I acually reconized all the locations.

I’m pretty sure I met the kid sponsored by Meta at the Toronto Bicycle Show. I got to ride his bike and I rode the trials course that was set up with my uni.

theres someone who lives near me, who’s got a £3000 trials bike, i think its built up around a koxx at a geuss as hes got the exact same rims as i have on my uni. hes pretty good, and i think hes managed to get up a 3 foot loading bay before!

That is awesome. He told me that there was a unicyclist there and I wanted to know who.

Did you like his bike?:stuck_out_tongue:

Isaac

Yeah, it was pretty sweet. I had never rode a trials bike before that, so I couldn’t do much more than bunny hop (or whatever term bikers use) with it, but it was nice. I would definitely get one if I had the money for it.

Okay, so I took a few photos of my bike today.

Enjoy.

Meh, and finally, my b-e-a-utiful chain.

Now it is your turn to post some pictures of your ride:)

Amanda started trial biking.
Think she got a Onza T-Rex, not sure though.

still around $350+ though :frowning:

Yes, but for a nice competition bike isn’t expensive. Trial is cheaper than other bike sports.

The biggest problem in trials is that to start you need to spend a lot of money, it’s hard to start with a 100 bucks bike!

And if you think, still around the price of a unicycle!

You can find a frame for a V-Brake, and use some BMX parts… But you will spend the same 350+ of a second hand chinese bike!

Bye!
