I was thinking about that as I was watching, how annoying it would be to hear 2 separate things being said at the same time.
I have seen a lot of these videos where they fix the subtitles around for this scene, and it never gets old. Very funny.

I hate it when they dub someone on the news but you can still hear the original sound track.
If he speaks a language you understand, you end up with your attention skipping from one track to the other and missing bits because of the delay. 
With subtitles, it’s not that bad. You can still turn the sound off.
There’s loads of these videos - I love most of them, there’s even one where Hitler is going drinking in Galway but he forgot his ID 
Woody Allen made a movie like that, where he changed the subtitles completely.
Yes I watched half of it. Not one of Woody Allens better movies.
I’ve had the opposite experience. I like to hear the speaker in his original language. I like to hear the words, the tone of voice, etc., even though I don’t understand the language. Or if I know a little of the language, I like to try to pick up bits of the dialog. I recently watched an Icelandic documentary that was completely dubbed in English. I would have preferred subtitles or at least to be able to hear the original speaker’s voice and words. Having the dialog completely replaced seemed, I don’t know, fake. Wrong somehow. But then again, I never have the confusion you experience because I really only speak English.
Enjoyed this video, i’ve seen a few but none made me laught like this one
