So who here actually rides a bicycle as well? and takes it seriously
I have a road bike that I ride once in awhile. It is great for climbing because it is geared so high. Sometimes I just love to go down the hills fast. On the unicycle, I am pretty slow going up and down hills. It’s a better workout, but I do like my bicycle. I’ve been thinking about getting a touring bike. Carrying gear on the unicycle does not sound fun. I like both, but I unicycle way more often.
I have a mountain bike I use to get to/from work, or to go for a ride. It came in handy as I used it to get to and get around SF last year, got a longer distance to get to this year. Going as a spectator to a yoyo contest held in SF.
I have a road bike which I ride almost everyday for commute plus weekend rides. On the uni I mostly do freestyle though want to commute more once I have money to get a 36"
I still love to ride my bike…
But maybe not as seriously as I used to.
Unicyclists think they’re clever getting one person on one wheel - well I can beat that!
I also have lots of other bikes, and have even won an event on one since I took up unicycling.
thats cute i own 2 bikes
I definitely don’t bicycle as well as I unicycle. I’m hardly ever on one.
Note to work on your thread titles. Your whole first post would have made a perfect title. Titles are not tags.
Yes…recumbents.
I like bikes. Most of my bike miles come from commuting but I get out for other rides too. I posted pictures of my bikes in this thread: Two wheel things.
I rode 29er single speeds 3-4 times a week until I learned to uni, I later sold my custom 29er to finance a 36er, I do have an old Surly 1 x 1 with cantis, but other than giving it a tune up, it hasn’t been on the road since I picked it up last year.
I have not ridden a bike further than 100yds since I started riding unis in June 2008, no plans to change back, don’t need to, muni is everything a bike is and more
Although not ridden since I got the Uni I love her too much to ever part with her
She was down to 15lbs but tougher tyres and the front suspension has taken her to just over 17 lbs so about the same as my Uni but far bigger The Uni has got me over my weight weeny problem!
You can see I had an interest in single things from early on, Single gear, single leg suspension, so it was only a mater of time before one wheel
I have got a fixed gear road bike that I have hardly ridden as well
+1
(below the center line is the steepest track in the world)
