Has anynone tried bicycle wheel walking? I did today, it was great fun. I only got about 5m in three attempts but it was fun. I’ve seen plenty of scuffing (a flatland bike term) on a bike but never wheel walking sitting on the handlebars. If you can wheel walk a uni, give it a go on a bike. It’s a bit harder but all you need to do is go a bit faster than usual and you’ll be right.
I also rode somewhere between 10 and 15 stairs backwards today which I’ve been meaning to try for some time now. That was also very fun.
It’s the easiest thing to do on a bike, as long as you’ve got someone holding the handle bars. It’s still easier for me than on a unicycle even without someone holding the handle bars.
I don’t understand what you mean when you say holding the handlebars. I meant wheel walking as in sitting on the handlebars with your feet in front of the bike wheel walking as if it’s a unicycle.
Yes, like that! Except someone was holding the handle bars to stop it turning. We would’ve been able to do it without someone holding if we fixed it in place somehow, but we didn’t have time, we were just doing it after a tennis match one day.
I do it stood one footed on the stunt pegs on front wheel and lift the whole bike up and just one foot ww basicly, which i had a lighter bike to do it on though!!
i actually started learning to wheel walk on a BMX before i did on a unicycle (this was before i had got my own unicycle). I found it suprisingly easy. The only problem was that the handlebars kept turning (this is why robbie needed me to hold the handle bars .lol) but i actually got used to this.
I think my best was about 10m. Then i learnt to ww a uni a month or 2 ago. The funny thing is now that i tried wheel walking the BMX i can’t do it…interesting
