best live show(s) you've ever seen

Early 1970s:
Earth, wind and fire opening for Led Zeppelin
Stevie Wonder opening for the Rolling Stones
Alice Cooper
Frank Zappa (numerous concerts–always great)

More recently: I will never pass up an opportunity to see the Violent Femmes, and I also LOVE Patti Smith live.

I’m glad to see so many of my other favorites showing up on this list. http://www.freewayblogger.com/

Are any of them hot? i always thought they sounded hot lol.

edit: i mean the girls of course…ahhh im regretting most of this post

I cant believe i missed them when they cruised through my town. Damn 21+ shows! :frowning:

There are more, lots more, but in my old age, I’ve become a bit forgetful. That’s why I’m calling it Part 1–soon I’ll remember all the ones I forgot to mention, and I’ll call those Part 2…

Oh, I did have tickets to see Elvis Presley at Nassau Colisium in 1977. But he died before the show happened.

I’m young, so I don’t have much under my belt, but uhhh…

–The Temptations (or what was left of them)
–Beatlemania (out in some random feild in the middle of nowhere with the words “let it be” etched into this huge hill behind us, and everyone playing frisbee and declaring that they are the walrus and "wooo"ing in the right places)
–The Flamingos (local ska band, not the original flamingos)
–EVERY TIP THE VAN SHOW I’VE EVER BEEN TO. EVER. Go check them out right now. they’re on purevolume.com/tipthevan They’re my friends and I love them to bits and they sound great and they’re all really, really… hot.
–Big D and the Kids’ Table
and all those friggin musicals. Esp. the Rocky Horror ones.

Woot, the Connecticut scene sucks ass, yeahhhhh!

Diehard uni: you’ve seen dead kennedys. insert teenage girl squeeling OMGWTFBBQ. I love you.

As far as performance goes, I’d have to say that Less Than Jake at Hershey was the best.

Andrew W.K. was the most fun though… it might not be the best music around, but standing onstage singing with the man was a blast. I’ve never been that wet from my own sweat and the sweat of others…

Doughty was great too, but no suprises there…

The Producers with Jason Alexander and Martin Short

They Might Be Giants 2000 (and 2001)

Beastie Boys.
