Best consumer camera to get

Hey everyone…

if you want the nicest cheap HDV camera around, the canon hv20 is what you are looking for.

1920x1080 HDV
manual focus
24 frames per second (‘film look’) option
nice sized 2.7" LCD screen
lots of upgradability (lenses, accessories, etc…)

$700-$800, look around…

the 24 frames is progressive or interlaced ?

good point, i forgot to add ‘progressive, not interlaced’

720p, 24fps, under $900!!

edit…actually, looks like you have to do a whole process to convert your 1080i into 720p…

wow!

I Think this is the only consumer camera doing 24 frames progressive.
and record in hd

its a nice camera

thinking in get one

i got the gs320 panasonic 3ccd it is good at daylight

Unfortunately, I don’t have any money. Oh wait! I think I’m in the wrong thread. Fortunately, my statement still applies.
