Best Beatles Song

What’s the best Beatles song ever?

I’m thinkin In My Life…or Across The Universe. Those are my favorites. Of course there is also Why Don’t We Do It In The Road, but I didn’t count that, because it’s CLEARLY the very very best.

How can you choose? There are so many from different periods. From the early I like “She’s a woman”, I’m a loser", “hard days night” and fromthe middle, “Norweigen wood”, “fool on the hill”, “I’ll follow the sun” (that’s an early one though) “Elanor Rigby”…and…from the last period, pretty much all, but I esp. like, “Something” and “Two of us.” But I could easily make 100 lists!

the whole white album.

The “best song ever” is tough. How about some to be sure to put on your i-pod? (If I had one)

While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Yesterday, Something, When I’m 64 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away, Help!, Blackbird

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is their best album in my mind. I can’t pick a favorite song, there are too many good ones!

Paperback wriiter

My current favorite is Something.

My favourite is probably While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

But I love them all.

The best one is I’ll follow the sun. And of course, Let it be

Strawberry Fields, Glass Onion, and Yesterday are all candidates.

My personal fav is Rocky Raccon.

I think the best “song” would be the 4 song compilation of “She came in through the bathroom window”. No doubt about it.

Here Comes the Sun.

No debate, that is the best. Period.

I wanted to add: Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Because, Hey Jude, She said, She said, Rain, Come together, A Day in the Life, If I fell, You’re Gonna Lose That Girl, In my life, Tomorrow never knows. :sunglasses:

The problem with the beatles is you can’t choose a favorite song. These guys all were so talented and gifted its amazing. I don’t expect any group will ever put out this many timeless hits again.

Favorites for me depend on the day and the mood.
-The Ballad of John and Yoko
-I Want You(She’s So Heavy)
and all things Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper, white album

in “the Rolling Stone top 500 albums of all time” the beatles have five albums in the top 14. Pretty high honors for a 2005 publication voted by todays hottest musicians and music industry professionals.

i like Across the universe, the long and winding road. I can’t really choose a faverate though

i think its lucy in the sky with diamond and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

The first song that comes to mind is “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” Some other songs that I am fairly fond of are “Golden Slumbers” and “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)”
And who can forget “Piggies”?

Why Don’t We Do It In The Road was actually used in a unicycle performance once. It was a comedy bit with me and Bradley Bradley. Not good, but fun. We’re talking 1981 or so.

I also like Here Comes The Sun, but I feel it’s more of a George Harrison song than representative of the Beatles’ work. But no single song can do that well either. I also like It’s All Too Much. I definitely don’t have a #1 favorite.

Favorite of All Time: Drive My Car
Other Favorites: Blue Jay Way, Here Comes the Sun, Within You Without You, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Nowhere Man, I’m Looking Through You, With a Little Help from My Friends, Yesterday, Penny Lane, Help, She Loves you

Now I’m gonna cut myself short…I could go on forever!

What type of life is that for a 17 year old?

Amazing what happens when they add a real guitar player.

In a similar vein, “Get Back” shows what happens when they add a real keyboard player.
