Thats cool how you like old music Treepotato. You would be able to listen to it with your parents without them getting annoyed like they might with more recent music. I enjoy quite a few old bands too, but not so much the Beatles. I like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, and some others. Some people say “That is old peoples music” but I don’t care. Just because it is old doesn’t mean it is no good. You have to listen for yourself to know for sure. One thing I was curious about, Treepotato, do you know what Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is about? It’s a weird drug and you might want to wait until you are quite a bit older before you try it.
Re: Beatles
treepotato,
Saying one is a fan of the Beatles, at least for those of a certain age is like saying you are a fan of Jesus Christ. The word “fan” doesn’t quite cover it.
I can’t say I have a favorite Beatle song, but do remember quite clearly having a heated argument with a friend over whose big brother bought the White Album first when it came out. Oh yeah, I fell helplessly/hopelessly head over heels for a girl named Jamie, in the 3rd grade who sang Oblah-Dee-Oblah-Da in front of our class.
In the United States a radio broadcaster, oddly enough, named Scott Muni has made a career out of the Beatles, their history, discography, and lore. Muni, known also as “The Professor” and Scottso, still broadcasts on WAXQ, Q104.3 in New York. Muni devoted some shows to such Beatles minutia and covered them so thoroughly that we used to joke that he had to interview hotel maids who once cleaned their rooms in order to have new material.

I used to be a ‘fan’ (will liked their music, bought the ‘1’ album) because my friend listened to it. I used to listen to it for ages.
Now I like music such a The Jam, The Who, Northern Soul and the like. Im really into vintage scooters (Vespa/Lambratta) too!
Anyone here dive a Vespa/Lambrata?
My friend think its weird, but I dont care. Ir would be boring if everyone was all the same!

I’m a Hugh Beatles Fan myself. I can’t say what is my favorite Beatles number but I got to say “A Hard Days Night” is my favorite. Because I can play that on my Guitar. Mainly my Electric Guitar due to that Intro I can do in Gsus4 Bar Chord. Which produced that Rickenbarker Electric Guitar Sound. I’d say the Solo’s of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison is my favorites too. John Lennon one on “Happy Xmas War is Over” is my favorite. Geroge Harrison one is “My sweet lord” and Paul McCartney one is “Band on the Run”. I like them all the tunes they have done from 1962 to 1970. Yes Treepotato I’m a Hugh Fan of cause. My list is endless of tunes of the Beatles.

i dont ride one myself but my father rode a lambretta at university
including the day they had a particularly punishing exam paper and to console themselves, headed to the pub
along with his roommate
they had a couple of ‘kleine-kleine’
a combination of a single tot of neat brandy, downed
followed by a beer
after the brandy, the beer tastes like colddrink, goes down real fast and u get to be in a much better mood real quick
riding back to res, a huge truck didn’t see them and started changing lanes, about to push them off the road
my father (driving) saw this and saw a slipway he could take to get out of the truck’s way
his friend (much braver) decided to ignore newton’s second law and kick the truck out the way
they landed in a ditch and my father broke his ringfinger
during the ceremony (a couple of years later), my mom couldn’t quite fit the wedding band over the out-of-shape knuckle
that’s about as OT as i get
Re: Beatles
wrong: people who listened to this music during the sixties
never became old!
