bc wheel

hi,
i’m thinking of buying a bc wheel, and i’d like to make some questions…
firstly, is it worth ???i think it’s great fun , but i’d like to hear your opinion…
secondly, which model should i buy???also, i ’ d like to ask if there is a site from where we can purchase bedford unicycles and bc wheels…

sorry for my english, i am from greece…

www.bedfordunicycles.ca has all bedford stuff. Also, please post this in the Rec.Sport.Unicycling because this is about unicycling. It’s ok but next time try to post it in the right forum

It is definitely worth it. I love riding my bc wheel :), it’s so much fun to be able to coast on one wheel. It does take awhile to learn, but once you do, it’s the best. Like said above, you can get bedford stuff from bedfordunicycles.ca. The one thing I did was to put griptape on the pedals because my feet kept slipping off, but overall I love riding it.

You can also get unicycles from unicycle.com, that’s where I got my bc wheel.

Happy wheeling!

which model do you think i should buy as a beginner??i think that the bedford trials is really good, but it’s quite expensive…would it be better to buy a nimbus bc wheel??i think so, because , as i live in greece, it might be a bit difficult to purchase one from bedfords’…

Hawo Giannis.

1) A bedford would be the go if you require some solid and good BCs,
As for the nimbus. It’s more the generic version in my opinion. Even though, they are worth the $$$ It all comes down to how much money you have on spending i guess.
2) That’s what shipping is for. :stuck_out_tongue:

could i buy the nimbus one and upgrade it later with a better wheelset and keep just the plates???i’m thinking to buy the one at [For Sale] Bedford Pro Street BC Wheel …i asked if it’s still for sale and i’m waiting his reply…i don’t think that this wheel is still available, because the thread is veeery old

i sent an e-mail to darren about a week ago but i haven’t received a reply yet…
should i worry??

No, darren is a one man show as far as I know.
It may take a bit, he could be off at some unicycling related event. He will most likely get back to you. Be patient. I have a bedford BC, it’s well worth the wait.

e-mail him again. Sometimes e-mails get missed.

Or give him a call. Use Skype so you don’t get hit by international long distance charges.

I’ve got the nimbus wheel, and the only thing I didn’t like about it was that the plates were really slippery (they were just flat metal). So I went down to the local skate shop and bought some griptape, and that fixed it perfectly. Now I have no complaints at all  It’s a good wheel, but if you’re intent on getting a bedford one then by all means go for it.
