ewgie i dont like flyin v’s at all i think they are gross but the best bass in the whole world is the Iceman icx 200 redsunburst it is so awosme beautiful i can even decribe it. My friend has an iceman guiatr but the bass is way better.

That’s funny. I started banjo a few years ago (still suck) and picked up piano (not literally) 3 weeks ago.
And when my sister restrings her bass (which she never plays) I may take that up as well.

I’ve played a lot of different instruments over the years. Bass was a long time ago. It really helped me to understand chords and chord progressions better than any other instrument I’ve played. I had a fretless jazz bass.
BTW; some very cool pictures of instruments posted in this thread.
Also, there have been a bunch of threads concerning music in the past six or eight months. They’re worth checking out.

it had deep gouge marks on the face of it where the previous owner’s soon-to-be (unbelievably soon after the event) ex-girlfriend keyed his bass

i’ve said this before, but i need no prompting to say it again,
the drums can make u tap your feet and the guitarist can make u tap your fingers but only the bass can make u move your body
I play acoustic guitar, (Gibson J-30 with post-factory pickup) and some piano but definitely play the radio much better.
Mostly, I am a vocalist and do quite a bit of work in church with other venues thrown in from time to time.
I am not a combined guitarist and unicylist though. John Drummond and I tried it at NAUCC in Minneapolis before the parade and failed miserably. It was a grand idea.
