Banjo Hangout, as of Friday, November 5, 2004, is closing its forum for Religious and Political discussion and their moderators are committed to deleting any threads on those topics that pop up in any other forum.
Just FYI.
So everyone get over there and try and get the last word in. No one will be able to respond after tomorrow!

Sounds pretty lame. Why go there? Must be run by Kerry Koolaid drinkers that just can’t handle the reality that their viewpoint is extreme and in the minority. Of course this is purely speculation on my part and may be to the far right of the truth.

Actully they are not. As you might imagine the demographics of the banjo community make them much more rural and conservative overall. The moderators, I believe, are within that mix.
Banjo Hangout has a list of rules and they stick to it. If a post contains profanity, includes religious or racially based name calling, or pornographic images, it is removed. You can argue there, if you want for example, that Islam is a bellicose religion, but you can’t simply call its followers names.
Among their goals is simply to make Banjo Hangout kid friendly and they have the staff to do.
I have found that they are fair in the application of their rules.
Ah, the other reason to go there, of course, is to discuss the banjo. 
now that’s the kind of strategic thinking that led to the formation of the PACOGILD MOVEMENT

man, everybody seems to be taunting me to buy a banjo when i KNOW that I have to wait ti’ll christmas…which I can’t So I’ve basicly been lurking around in the forums imagining that I had a banjo to practise on.
