'Bad Pool Header' BSoD?

So I’ve been getting blue-screened every time I try to open my Dell M1530 Integrated Laptop console manager…I’ve uninstalled the device driver and all software related to the webcam, brought out my old driver and DellResource CDs and reinstalled it all…same exact error.

I managed to get a look at some of the BSoD text and noticed the line ‘bad_pool_header’…anyone know what that means? I googled it with a mostly inconclusive result.

Also, if it matters, I got the webcam to work on stickam.com just fine, but it crashes with my webcam console.

Hm, ok…never mind, crashes Stickam.com as well. It did work for Stickam earlier, after I removed the webcam console/manager.

“PC Load Letter, what the hell does that mean”

If you’re attempting to make fun of me, I don’t get it, and thanks for not helping at all.

Matt!!! He’s quoting the movie Office Space.

If you haven’t seen that movie, please watch it immediately. It’s incredibly funny to anyone who works in an office environment. It’s a movie about your future (well, hopefully not).

PC Load Letter (audio, contains a bad word) from this site

That was the message displayed on the fax machine (or was it a laser printer).

It was a laser printer; my college computer lab had a similar printer model, which would display that message when one of the trays was out of paper.

Unfortunately, I have no insight on dudewithasock’s problem. IME, when the drivers are screwed, you’re screwed.

It is quite obvious that your system bus is constipated and is in need of an enema. Try 500mL of a warm solution of water and epsom salts.

If that doesn’t work you will need to set fire to your computer to prevent further infection.

Call me if you need any more advice. My hotline is available 24/7 and costs but $5.99 a minute.

It means the header of that pool of memory is incorrect. The header stores its size, owner, etc.

This might lead you closer to a solution:
