Axiom Double Jump Pedals

Phil (trials uni or something like that) was asking questions about these pedals so I figured I would post my responses here incase anyone else is considering these wonderful pedals.

They are really really strong, and light for their price.
I’m sure you can get stronger, and probably pedals that are more light, but at 45 bucks Canadian compared to 50 Canadian for Jim C’s they are definatly worth it.

I learnt how to do higher pedal grabs, and I have used them to break ice (at the skatepark during spring and was clearing ice by smashing it with the pedals). Basically I have reclously (sp?) kicked the crap out of them to no end and until recently no problems. (although I would recommend loctiting the pins would be a good idea as I lost a couple but that happens with all pinned pedals and I used super glue which held them in pretty well afterwords but if you loctited them first it would probably help)

I have actualy recently finaly started to take chunks out of them but they lasted me so well, and are such a perfect shape and slide so well, that I’m probably going to be getting another pair.

I took the chunks out by doing repeated failed grinds down an 8 set where I would get about half way, my foot would catch and the uni would go plumiting down onto the pedal rather quickly, so I doubt many pedals could withstand that. Also the damage is minimal and doesn’t affect my riding them at all, it just makes the pinned side of my grind pedal even heavier in comparison.

Hope that helps.

Just got these!. I love em. Nice bug platform and evry smooth running bearings. Thay are also every light. The combined weight of the pair is 460g while Jimmy C’s are 680g., The Double jumps are nearly half a pound lighter for a all you weight weenies out there.

The only thing i dont like about them is that the Pins are too long, but a grinder took care of that.

I give em an 8/10.

why would you break ice with your uni?

Cuz he wanted to grind the rail and the ice was in his way.

I would think that would bend my Torker LX cranks

Yep, probably…Nathan has Isis Cranks

actualy it was a landing for a rail that I didn’t wanna slip out on :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh well. It still involved a rail.
