hahaHA, you think that’s the most annoying site? Well, I have one thing to say to you: YOU ARE AN IDIOT, HA HAHAHA HA HA HA.
Check this out:
The real most annoying site!!!

Warning: DO NOT OPEN THE ABOVE LINK! For anyone that’s curious, it pops up a window that says, “You are an idiot!” and when you close it, it pops up many more windows and soon they cover up your entire screen and it’s nearly impossible to get rid of them. They almost froze up my system.

Now you have been properly warned. Click on it if you like, but if you do, I get to say, I told you so!

Thanks for warning me Paco, I’ve been getting loads of pop-ups recently and they just seem to be calling thire friends or something because there are more and more of them on my internet…

two words pop-up stopper

or is that three?

two or three words pop-up stopper.

sounds like you’ve got a problem with spyware.

a good piece of software is Bazooka.
but i cant remember the site.
just do a search for “bazooka + spyware” its free.
otherwise you have to trawl through the registry yourself and delete all the references to it, but you have to know what you’re doing and what you’re looking for and not many people do.

I use Lavasoft Ad-Aware 6.

Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy are the two preeminent crapware removers. I prefer the term junkware or crapware to spyware. Not all of the crapware out there spies on you, but it’s still crap. Call it what it is.

Be careful with some of the other spyware removal programs. Some of them are actually installing spyware. The spyware people are getting tricky. The bastards. Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D can be trusted. A random spyware removal tool that you find in a web search cannot be trusted.

Some of the crapware relies on security holes to install itself. Make sure your computer is all patched. Download the latest version of Java from Sun. Some of the crapware relies on security holes in older versions of Java or in Microsoft’s version of Java. Keep patched up and be careful of what you install. Cute little programs like Bonzi Buddy are notorious for installing crapware, but people willingly install that crap anyways. Make sure that the cute little program you want to install isn’t loaded with junkware surprise.

Well gee, Taco, thanks for ruining all the fun.
