I really like my cycle computer because I can know how far I’ve gone, not just
guess. Over the last month I rode 308 miles on a coker and didn’t ride for seven
days due to a bad contusion to my leg. I’m guessing it would have been closer to
400 miles or more if I didn’t get hurt. Now I know in a year I’m probably doing
close to 5000 miles, but will know that figure for sure in December. I was
wondering how many other riders are going over 300 miles a month, and does
anyone have a yearly record of miles they are riding?
Wow, you are a hardman! That’s great. I’ve logged 800 miles since I got mine
about 9 months ago. Pitiful.

What brand/model computer are you using? Wireless?

So where do you guys ride on-road, with the coker for example? Whats a typical
ride like.

Most of my miles are commuting to/from work. 13 miles round trip. I did go
on one 44 mile road ride last year, but I need a better seat before I try
that again.
A problem with a Coker on the road here is that the downhills are often steep
and long and kill your legs. I would need a brake if I were going to do much of
that. My commute only has 300’ of altitude change which is no problem.
Another problem is traffic. I don’t feel nearly as comforable riding on busy
roads on my Coker as on a bike.
An alternative is to take it offroad - the tire absorbs bumps etc really well.
Just be careful as it isn’t as strong as a real mountain unicycle. I would only
take it on a relatively tame ride.
