australia sucks for uning

well as my title says ^^^^^^^^^^ i mean there are next to nothing on the subject of trials lines there are no other uniyclistscept for andrew carter and gary land (w00t gary land rocks w00t) it suck australia suck for uning and because there are no other unicyclists my learning curve for unicyclisg has gone down australia sucks for uning

settle down, i think your just on a rage, really you should make your own trials lines, and also theres other people out there you just have to search, and also just cause your the only one doesnt mean you have to stop learing uni, just go at it, dont give up
theres more then three unicyclits in australia, i guarantee it

have you ever watched any of andrew carters movies by cance? cuz there are thousands of lines in aus. that i can see from his vidsā€¦it doesnt have to be like city stuffā€¦go off into the woods and do some natural trialsā€¦its way more fun and alot more challenging.

Where in Australia are you that has no trials lines?? Youā€™re not looking hard enoughā€¦theyā€™re everywhere!

Unicycling is not all about trials. There are quite a few unicyclists but maybe not too many trials unicyclists. Keep riding and teach someone.

yeah but i like trials its good, i live in brisbane ,it wasnt the intenetion to stop uning ,my dad wont take me to natural trials places and sorry yeah i think i was in a rage

you dont need to be taken to a ā€œnatural trials placeā€ā€¦ everything around yo is natural trialsā€¦havent you ever seen a place and said" man id sure love to ride that" so go ride it. noone is just gonna come up to you and say" hey ive never met you before but do you want me to drive you somewhere". you need to find some places on your own and trust me youā€™ll have alot more fun

if you cant get anything natural i would just make stuff, using old furnature if you got some, get some ply wwod and nails and go at it, planks work really well, just be creative and making stuff for trials will be easy.

And try getting your friends into it, its always fun to teach ppl to ride, then once they get a little advanced they can ride with you and then they will teach their friends, then next thin you know your starting a unicycle group and start pulling in more ppl that want to learn, then next thing you know your flooded with unicyclers of all different lvls =p

You live in Brisbane?..we should go riding. I can take you to some nice trials spots. Where in Brisbane?

Andrew

duuudeee, your so wrong coz there are is quite a large amount of riders round australia, and there are also quite a significant amount of lines to ride!!

the only down thing bout aus, is that it isnt as easy to contact other riders, coz we r all spread around aus, we dont live close!!!:frowning:

I seriously doubt there are absolutely no accessible trials lines in your area, hell, in your own back yard. Just make your own, as mentioned somewhere above me.

there are trials line but there so damn simple like they dont invole pedal grabing ,gapping or rail riding

we were given eyes to look, and we were given legs to walk/search/travel!

so go for a WALK and LOOK for trials lines, they r evrywhere, u only need inspiration and then u shall find something!!!

If you live on a farm there are fence posts to pedal grab, machinery to hop around on, and various other things (pallets, etc) to gap between.

If you live in the suburbs there are LOTS of parks to play around in. Playground equipment is fun - it makes up a good deal of these big compilation movies of mine.

If you live in the city there are ledges, benches, stairs, railsā€¦the list goes on. In fact, the list goes on no matter where you live.

Enjoy!
Andrew

soo true!!!

all it takes is just a little inspiration, anything can be a trials line i reckon !! all it needs is some challenges and to be possible to do things with ā€¦

dan you must have been in a rage cos you were writing absolute crap.

first of all, there are heaps of riders in australia, not just andrew and gary. there are like 20 melbourne riders (only like 5 trials/street riders though), and heaps of others. have you seen one wheel addiction? they are all aussies.

secondly, trials lines are everywhere, you are obviously not looking hard enough. if, like you say, there is nothing, make stuff. find some pallets, wooden beams, sandwich boards etc and make something up in your backyard. otherwise, parks, playgrounds and my personal favourite: schools.

otherwise just go for a ride and you will find stuff. we usually ride in the city, but you can go anywhere.

what kind of skill level are you? like how high/long can you jump/gap? what other stuff can you do?

hope you find something to ride,

Max

i agree with everything said previously.

I read the title and my immediate thought was, ā€œWhat? All of it?ā€

Australia, the worldā€™s largest island. (As opposed to America: the worldā€™s largest small island.)

Australia with massive modern cities, huge areas of outback, desert, mountain, unmade roads, beachesā€¦ an indigenous culture going back to before the ancient Greeks and Egyptians. Iā€™d go crazy if I had to live there.

And thereā€™s no unicycling there to speak of? I suppose youā€™ve got no scuba diving or surfing either? And as for finding somewhere to have a barbieā€¦ it must be a nightmare.

I know how you feel. I live in England, and I was given a raincoat for Christmas three years ago, and I still havenā€™t had chance to use it.

Just hang some corks around your crash helmet to keep the flies away and get out there and ride.

that is a harsh generalisation of Australiansā€¦ i use bottlecaps, not corks. There is freaking tons to ride in melbourne. i just wish i had more time to get round to it.

i apoligise for my prievioxe comment i was riding out on a footpath using some of my imagination and i saw a great trials line that im gunna work on for the next few weeks(the line starts off on a bench jump/pedal grab onto it then on to the top of it then gap to a small brick wall and ride it behind a bu s stop )
