Atmosphere

Alright, a big part of my life is obscure Hip Hop. So if ther ehappen to be any kindred spirits out there, then I have something for you.
Atmosphere Just released his newest album “Strictly Leakage”.
But the amazing part is, it’s FREE!

Follow this link and download it! I’m listening to it now, it’s great!

P.S. if you don’t know too much about underground hip hop, I’d recommend giving it a try!

-Justin (The Notorious)

Very vocal-centric. The instrumentation is a bit disappointing to me, at least for the first couple tracks. I prefer more sounds from instruments they actually played rather than just the samples they bought for their MPC. The biggest problem with vocal-centric music is that the lyrics really have to connect with the listener, and the content is not really my thing, not being a thug and all.

mmm I liked God Loves Ugly more I don’t listen to much hip-hop but I would not buy this album, nothing stood out for me.

I saw Atmosphere a few years ago in Montreal. It was funny because the crowd was a bunch of punksters and somebody threw a shoe at him. I can’t remember if they finished their gig

edit: I think it is sort of cool when artists put out free music but I guess you get what you pay for

wow i love atmosphere…didnt think many other ppl on here would even know who they were…do you listen to quasimoto?

atmosphere is really good.

if you like him you will like mf doom and danger doom.

I’m quite surprised so many people like Atmosphere.
I wouldn’t really call it underground hip-hop though.

Check out Busdriver. Amazing stuff. I’m gonna send you a cd that was busdriver, Daedelus, and Radioinactive working together.

Atmosphere gets pretty annoying. There is alot of MUCH much better hip hop out there. I still will be checking out this album as they usually have one or two good tracks on all of their albums.

You will find similar sounding but much better Hip Hop a little to the north in Canada, usually with much better beats.

I also agree that Atmosphere is not really “underground” Hip Hop.

+1 to what most of agent q said, although there is tons of poor stuff in Canada aswell. I just saw Kid Koala, and the three openers for him licked my parts of my body that people don’t want to lick.

You should check out some of the artists on Mush Records, and Ninja tunes (although I don’t like how alot of the djs on ninja tunes share samples so much).

MF doom is the dude, Danger Doom is just an album that he and Danger Mouse produced. Danger Mouse’s the grey album was pretty awesome, based on the White album by the Beatles.

For some good Canadian underground stuff check out Buck 65, and Cadence Weapon.

There not realy obscure hip-hop

lately i have been listining to people under the stairs. acid raindrops is real moce

Christ alive, i’ve never heard so much bitching abbout something that was free. if y’all don’t like it then don’t get it. thats hip hop. and atmosphere is a little more than underground, i’ll agree, but his sound is very underground esque. and don’t argue with that, hip hop is what i do.

throws b-boy stance

thats the struggle. you all are contributing to the struggle.

haha, that’s a fun song.

All I said is I liked “God Loves Ugly” more but then I payed $20 more for it

Free music is cool

Hip hop is basically the struggle to bring beverages to your mouth.

Yeah atmosphere has some stuff that blows my mind and other stuff that I cant stand. “Usually with much better beats?” Ant for the most part is off the hook what don’t you like about it?

“but his sound is very underground esque. and don’t argue with that”

What do you think makes a sound underground? Alot of their stuff is pretty catchy and commercial sounding.

As for this cd its ok, I like 2 of the songs and the other are ok.
