This album starts off so full of fun and finger-tapping that when their
first hit claims The Bad Days Are All Gone, you almost believe them. The
second single, the one with the video that’s been submitted to MTV, is Rock
Stars, another 3minute fun fest. The video is included as a bonus on the CD
but is available to ‘pc/mac users only’. The song Play, the
summersalt-penned official ‘Sharks’ song, gets the same treatment.
summersalt regularly entertains the crowd at the Sharks’ home games. Nice
work if you can get it. The rest of the album gets disturbingly
god-sellingly sermon-like very quickly. If CDs have to carry ‘Explicit
Content’ labels to warn you of language that some people use in their
everyday life, surely I can expect an ‘Explicit Christian Content’ warning
too? Don’t preach at me while pretending to entertain me.
