I think I mentioned the movie Atanarjuat here before – the first
full-length film ever made in the Inuktitut language. It got quite a number
of Genie Awards (Canadian film awards) and festival awards (Camera d’Or at

Now it’s in wide release in Canada and getting rave reviews like I’ve never
heard before (the Village Voice in NYC said it may be the rebirth of cinema)

It took them ten years to make the film because they built the company of
Inuit people from scratch – apparently every person in the credits, except
the cinematographer, learned their job just to make this film.
