Asthma..

Any unicyclists with Asthma here? I’ve had it since birth and find any physical activity difficult. Just wondering if any of you guys have had issues with it as well…

just do some albuterol before you ride. asthma is manageable and should not hold you back. live your life man!

yes, I have asthma.

I have some Albuterol that’s safe for the enviorment or some crap…doesn’t work after like 2 puffs. I’ve got to go see the Dr. to get the real stuff…I’ve taken the real stuff for years and it has always worked…

my asthma is from allergies.
as I am growing old it waned away but this year it came back while I was traveling across some woods (I suspect some caterpillar presence). then it stuck and lately I have some problems and my respiration makes strange sounds.
bad, bad …

Paula Radcliffe, the world Marathon record holder, suffers from asthma. Certainly with some forms of the ailment, it is possible to be involved in prolonged periods of intense physical activity.

And as Ken Dodd said, “I thought I was a fantastic lover until I discovered all my girlfriends had asthma.”

i do, but it doesn’t bother me as much as it used to.

Had it all my life

Had it all my life.

Quite serious problems with it as a child.

Still played hockey, judo, and other sports.
Occassionally asthma hospitalized me.

Sharp changes in weather from hot to cold bothers me.
Allergy’s also trigger it.

Today I am in better shape, and exercise regularly.

I only use puffers for control during allergy season and reactin allergy medication to prevent problems.

Now I am quite healthy with the occassional flair of asthma during allergy season. I am able to keep it under control using allergy medication and puffers. Keeping in shape helps.

P.S. Don’t smoke…
