Art Car Parade -Houston 2003

My cycling club was asked to help with “crowd control” at this years art car parade in down town Houston. I was on my coker. We were to ride along with the parade and keep people from crowding onto the street, especially at the corners, keeping the cars from swerving and help push the disabled ones off to the side so the parade could continue. The 250+ “cars” were… different, as were the drivers and passengers. “Uncle Sam” was there riding a 6ft and idling with one foot while holding his US flag in his mouth so he could juggle with his hands. So I’m convinced that you might see anything at an art car parade. It was a blast.

Thank You!
I drove my magnet truck all the way from Maryland for the parade. It
is good to have volunteers to help keep it safe and organized.
Fantatic event all several days of it. I will do it again if I can
next year…
