i saw this new 19" rim by arrow racing
has any body tried this rim? how does it compare in to the alex and monty rims?
i knew that rim was coming but i havent tried it.
the more important thing is,
it looks like the new Arrow rim is a V-section rim.this means that the spoke nipple will drop lower making the spoke length shorter…in effect the angle which the spoke bends in from the hub to meet the nipple is more severe.
the angle of my spokes,coming from a Profile hub to the nipples on my Alex rim is already very prononced.
know what i mean?
man arrow rims weigh a TON!!! you’ll end up drilling em out, then it’ll be just as weak as an alex… just get a alex built well,

Are you saying Alex rims are weak???

my guess on the wieght would be the alex is lighter, due to it’s less width and higher ERD.
no i’m just saying arrow may be strong but it’ll weight a lot more!
