Around the World

A while back I heard mention of a guy named Wally Watts who traveled around the world. Does anyone know anything about this journey? Are there any articles written about him?

I would love to hear some details about this adventure

Wally Watts rode his big wheel across Canada ! There are some pictures and
a story in one of the On One Wheel issues. Sem Abrahams may even be in the
picture from what I remember. I think it was in the 1970’s.

Yes. He did that first, and a year or more later embarked on his
round-the-world trip, which I think culminated with a ride across the US,
finishing in NYC.

Pietro Biondo (of Montreal) also rode across Canada to finish his epic trip.

The whole ride was covered, which took about a year and a half (including
time off). So it’s in a lot of issues.

There were pictures of Bill Jenack, Sem, and Wally Watts taken at Eisenhower
Park. This was around 1979 or 1980. One of them was on the old IUF flyer we
made, at the start of the IUF.
