Arms for Unicycles

Learning of Billy’s Arms dealing brought this to mind.

I got back into Unicycling about a year ago. I bought a Nimbus Muni that I really didn’t have the extra money to buy. That’s where the addiction started. I soon wanted better and more. My wife didn’t agree with this. What to do???

About 15 years ago when some restrictions were beginning to be put on firearms I started collecting guns. I aquired quite an assortment of hand guns and rifles. I enjoyed having and occasionally shooting them.

Now I had this new love for unicycles, a wife and 5 children leaving little extra play money. I said to myself, “self, what’s it gonna be?” The answer was easy - Arms for Unicycles. I’m having way more fun riding Trials, Muni and Distance on my Unis then I ever did shooting guns.

I now have a collectionof unis that brings me way more joy than my gun collection ever gave me.

I still like guns though.

We’ve got a small collection of guns in our gun rack. I’ve got a 22. , my dad has a 22., two 30-06’s, a 243. and a couple 12-guage shotguns. Were also in the process of trading a small camper for a handgun.

Re: Arms for Unicycles

Did you sell, trade, or keep the collection? I kept mine but I rarely go shooting anymore. I still have more firearms than unicycles and have considered converting firearms into unicycles but decided to keep both.

Re: Re: Arms for Unicycles

I sold some, but still have enough to defend my side of the mountain. I still have more guns than Unicycles and I have alot of unicycles. I sold some Russian SKS’s that appreciated quite a bit, for my uni needs. I’ve got a Calico M100 that I’d like to get rid of. That would get me an Airfoil rim for my Coker.

Interesting discussion. I have a special edition Remington 30-06 and a nice scope that I won in a raffle. They are sitting in a closet and have never been fiired. I have often thought of selling them to buy my son a decent muni. I have yet to do that.

You’d make a great Yooper.

I’m waiting for a picture of a Muni with a built-on gun rack.

Anyone here ever fire a muzzle-loader? I’ve been target shooting since I was eight years old, but didn’t shoot a “modern” rifle until I was sixteen. There’s nothing quite like standing in a sulfuric cloud of white smoke after squeezing off a roll-your-own rifle round :stuck_out_tongue:

Jesus I can’t believe that peopel can casually own that kindof fire power, I’m packing a .22 air rifle and that’s moderately unusual over here, no wonder you have so much trouble with guns.

What trouble would that be? All mine seem to work OK.

No. The most primitive I have fired were ball and cap revolvers. The most fun were a Thompson, an Uzi, and an HK MP5, all full auto.

Sorry, i didn’t make myself clear, i meant the way that thousands of people get slaughtered by them every year.

Wow. I thought there were people operating those firearms. I didn’t know they were fully animate. I’d better have a chat with mine to make sure they’re up to no mischief.

I’ve used a muzzle loader once, but a semi auto 12 gauge is more my style. And as far as I’ve heard, no guns have ever shot anyone, ever. But I have heard people shooting other people…

the calico looks way cool.

tru dat broham

Heh… Did anyone else see the subject of this thread and think that it would be about how to arm unicycles?

Actually, i was thinking more along the lines of make a quick turn to slap someone in the face with your uni’s arm. but still.

Anyway, back to the thread…

if all guns were paintball guns, the world be a safer place

ya i was thimking that slapping thing too , but wouldent that be cool to have a gun rack on a uni!but back to what harper said ,i second that opinion.

Yeah, knives and baseball bats act that way too.

my friend got the best badge the other day- it states
“Actually, guns DO kill people”
From all your statements it seems that the only reason you bear arms is for enjoyment. Frankly i can see better and safer forms of entertainment not only for you but for your whole country. I have an air rifle that is only used for keeping the pesky starlings from nesting in our roof. I see no need for a fully automated rifle/ shotgun/ hummer mounted 50 callibur cannon for either personal protection or fun.
Do yourself, your family, and your neighborhood all a favour and get rid of them. Buy more unicycles!
