Hey all! I just moved to Texarkana and am wondering if there’s anyone else in the state within easy (1 - 1.5 hour) driving distance. Or out of state. I did a search, and the latest thread/post I found was 2007

A year and a half ago several of us met at Mt. Ida and rode the trails there. Had a blast. We got a good off season rate at a fishing village with cabins. Looks like we now have a local sponsor.
Arkansas didn’t represent but riders came from Tennessee, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

I was hoping that Mt. Ida was close by (the street at the end of mine is Ida ;)) but it’s 2.5 hours away…

I will be in conway in june for a week…but otherwise i am guessing that you can claim the title of " only unicyclist in AR"

Captainkrunk, how about Devil’s Den in October? I’m banned from riding for 12 weeks, labral tear. B2bivy suggested Devil’'s Den. Sounds like a good area for the Okies to travel to. Others in the region might want to come. Mucsters might be interested. Anyone in Missouri ride?

Devil’s den looks like 4.5 hours from Memphis, 4 hrs for b2bivy from Hinton, OK, 4+ hrs from Texarkana, tx.
Devils Den looks to be in northwest Arkansas. I cannot obligate right now.
Hey Wheel Rider, its much easier to get to Devil’s Den from Memphis (not a single stop till the road to the park) than the Womble Trail near Mt Ida was for you in 2007. There are several trail options with the most extreme being a shuttled ride down from a trailhead outside the park back into the park. That is the only section of trail I didn’t ride on a MTB because I opted to take the road and it was FAST! But from that trailhead back to the park it has to be mostly downhill, as anyone who ever drove into the park will quickly tell you - its a steep, steep hill that roadies train on by going up it. Inside the park there are several loops that can be ridden by about any level of MUni rider, and cabins available there too. So try to keep it in mind…
