The Turtle riddle in the Gallery of Clean Jokes got me wondering.

Are you a Turtle? Did you know what a Turtle was before reading the link in the other thread? When did you become a turtle?

I became a Turtle in 1983 in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, Washington State.

You Bet Your Sweet Ass I Am. I became a Turtle on 11 November 2003, Rememberance Day here in Canada. An Airforce veteran initiated me in to the Order.

Kurt Vonnegut talked about this in (I think) his novel “Timequake”. Evidently he really was a Turtle, and had to scream his affirmation at some really solemn memorial service once.
