that’s just grease, it’s good, just take the old cranks off, and tighten the new ones onto the hub, leave all the grease on the cranks, and if you have more shove a little on the hub as well. It’s good for the splines… it’s pointless for squared tapered cranks though
You can just go to the bike shop and the’ll pull them out and fit the new ones properly, maybe for $5 if they’re bastards. Good choice on the cranks too, the confidence of doing anything you can handle knowing ur uni can too is worth every cent.
