me and the missus are going to drive down the east coast to Long Island for the release party, and we are looking for a hotel to stay on thursday night.
I only suggested boston as that seems to be a good area (map wise) in order for us to make the trip down the east coast (I already looked, and there is no such a place as Quahog Rhode Island )
so…non-unicycling-wise…is there anything neat in boston for some canucks to look at? Is there a better place for us to stop instead?
Even though I have a ‘Cheers the last episode’ T-shirt (well, I did, until it got ruined in a paint fight) and I know the ‘real’ cheers isn’t in Boston, like I said…that just looks like a place to stop, judging by the map
The Freedom Trail is interesting if you like US history (and what Canadian wouldn’t…). There is a bus tour you can get where you just hop on and off anytime, so if you want to detour to a pub you can, then just grab the next shuttle that’s going around on the loop.
The Plough and Stars in Cambridge. Good place to chill out after a tour through the Fogg Museum.
As you can see, I’m biased a bit on the museum side. There are some good ones in the area. Boston is also fun just to walk around. It’s a pretty compact city, so easy to see lots of things by foot.

Boston is excellent, I’m living their currently. I’d like to add the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Science to Tom’s list. There is plenty to see and do in Boston. If you like Italian food then check out the north end, there is plenty of great restaurants there.
