Anyone know this person?

I have a feeling he might be a member of this forum, but I’m not sure.
I found this site where he’s selling a hat with my picture and logo, “Not 2 tired”, and I don’t remember being asked about doing it. I’ve been trying to contact the site. Does anyone know who this is?

Clicking that link took me to an empty product page. I think the link is good but the product may have been withdrawn.

Want to buy my “Never 2 Tired” T-shirt from Gilby? I think I’ve had it about 10 years…

Yep, they removed it at my request! I posted a comment on that page after registering, and asked that they remove it immediately and contact me. So far they have done the former.

Terry, I think what John means is that even your “Not 2 Tired” helmet isn’t all that original. John is saying that he has a shirt that says “Never 2 Tired”. Maybe the original maker of that shirt should ask you to stop using your “Not 2 Tired” logo.

Regardless of the originality of that (which I can trace to earlier than the Gilby shirt), Terry mentioned it was an picture of him. Certainly that’s enough to at least request an explanation from the seller.

These days it’s annoying to keep running across people who use images assuming there aren’t real people attached to them. It’s still fun in the world of unicycling to see continuing examples of how we all basically know each other, so this type of stuff usually does get noticed!

That thing would have never sold anyhoo…

That doesn’t apply to public figures like Terry.
Do you think everytine you want to put a picture of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, or Bob Marley on a t-shirt, you have to get their permission?

I had the Never 2 tired logo 30 years ago! John and Terry stole it from me

If you want to sell it, yes. Or you’ll hear from their estates. Naturally if your product is obscure and hard to find/less common, this is less likely.

Show me your evidence and I’ll show you mine…

I’m just curious how you discovered the crime, as I’d think something like that would be pretty hard to just stumble across. I’m guessing somebody tipped you off, right?

Terry has trained his cat to search the web at night looking for any mention of Terry or unicycling. The cat then prepares a video presentation for Terry to watch in the morning.

+Gandhi, Che Guevara or Gandalf. You wouldn’t wanna receive an angry e-mail from deceased Gandhi, would you?

  • Bart Simpson.

Hey Terry,

Would you mind selling me one of those?

That website has no more available.

Apparently they sold out fast!

How much do you charge?

Billy

“Never” and “Not” are two different words, with different meanings. And prior to thinking of “Not ‘2’ Tired” as my logo, I was unaware of John’s shirt, and to this day have not seen it. I was aware of Kris’s video, entitled. “One tired guy”, and that’s what gave me the idea for my logo.

Btw, the person who my logo and my picture on the hat he wa selling, not only promptly removed it at my request, but emailed me to apologize for not clearing it with me first. I thanked him for contacting me and told him no harm done. And like John said, it was mostly about using my image for something he was selling. I wouldn’t have minded if I was contacted before hand, and at least offered a percentage of any sales…but yeah, probably wouldn’t have sold many haha. Case closed.
