Anyone know this Hostile Unicyclist?

Hi everyone. I just wanted to know if anyone else in the list knows a guy named
Brad Reilly. (He emailed me from cloud_bond@hotmail.com) and I had to
definitely laugh when I read his e-mail. Either the guy must just be an asshole
or he can’t unicycle in the first place and likes to make fun of people. Here
is what he had to say:

>You are very good but I have to say right now that you suck. I suggest you stop
>making shitty websites and leave that to the good unicyclers. I dont have a
>website but I am much better than you. I can hop up a 56 cm platform. I can
>long jump one meter and rid one footed. You should try doing some real
>mountains and possibly a larger drop. I can go off 6 foot drops and I would
>just like to tell you, that you are gay and you suck. I would like a reply from
>your sorry ass. UOA

I am not going to waste time defending myself against him because I can hop on
stuff over 2 feet high, I can long jump over 4 feet and I don’t have a strong
enough Uni to do 6 foot drops. Oh well, I just wanted to warn everyone else
about him incase you encounter him. I assume he say some of my videos at
http://www.unicycling.org/unicycling/uni_extreme/ which I have received tons of
positive feedback from and thanks to all for that.

I hope to get more video work done in the future as well and I will let people
know if and when I do.

Mike

–I keep asking myself how people ride those things called “Bicycles”, isn’t
that twice as hard?

I was bidding on a Myata giraffe a few months ago on Ebay. I don’t know if it
was the same guy but he tried to intimidate me from bidding. Sounds like the
same guy, but of course, I have no idea, nor do I care.

To me unicycling is a very zen thing, kind of meditative and relaxing, so when I
encounter people like this who claim to ride a unicycle, I just shrug it off.
Anyone who can do amazing stuff on a unicycle has probably worked most of their
anger off long ago in the process.

Don’t let it get you down. More than likely this is a disturbed person who has
decided to vent his frustration on unicyclists. Probably would really like to
ride, but can’t. Be careful.

Folks, let’s all please remember that lots of children read this
newsgroup/mailing list. If somebody writes something offensive or you don’t like
a spam message, please don’t do the sender the service of repeating it.

Brad Reilly, or whoever is sending those messages, obviously has a tiny little
ego and is trying to make himself big by making other people small. Sticks and
stones cannot even be thrown via email. Just ignore guys like him, or respond
privately though I don’t recommend it. If you ignore him he should go away.
