I am a beginner and am only level two. I was wondering if there was any of my fellow beginners out there? if you are one please put something down about yourself.
Level 2.9 here. I need to learn one more mount and learn to get to stomach on seat from standard riding then I’m level 3. This is addictive.
I’m also a beginner, nearly level 3.
Check under my name on the left…
Haven’t ridden for a week cos my knee’s gone all stupid (honest, Orange!).
Hoping to get back on to practise those figure eights next week!
yes, another beginner
Not even level 1.
I can not free mount yet. I am still mouting using assistance(garbage can). I can ride 200ft. Trying to go further, want to be able to make it around the block.
I get about 5 hours a week practice.

in the never-ending learning curve that is unicycling, we are all beginners
just with more or less experience
I can do everything on lvl 3, except for one thing… Stomach on seat.
Anyone got any tips for me? Should i put weight on the seat or on the pedals?
put your weight on the seat, get it in a comfortable postion.
try getting off, getting on in the stomach on seat position while holding on to a wall and then ride off.
Been off the board for a little bit - nothing much new to report. Mostly level 1 now - trying idling but will be off the uni for a long while when I have surgery next month.
Wait, a beginner at level 2? Almost level 3?
I would easily be level one if it weren’t for my glorious battles with the freemounting demons. Sometimes spot on–sometimes, oh nuts…
Forever a beginner…(but once I’m up and running, with no reason to stop, it’s cruise city.)
thx
Why does the post say my name is waxt?
I´m logged in as Fexnix
What do all these “Levels” mean? Is there a special unicycle organization where you demonstrate your level and you get a certificate? Is it like the color belt system in Karete?
I have not even started, and the level stuff has me scared.

The ten skill levels are basically a way of determining how good you are at freestyle riding and how difficult various moves are. Check out unicyclist.org and click on “levels.” There is a video clip for each skill on each level.
Actually yes. I think both the IUF and the USA offer certification but John Foss could tell you more.

Carpe diem!
Gkmac, just do it! Get out on those mean streets of Epsom and uni!
I know what you mean though, I’ve been through those internal battles myself -
“What if someone sees me?”
“What if someone I know sees me?”
“What if I perform a prattish comedy UPD in front of these people?”
“What if I can only manage 20 feet at a time and can only freemount 1 in 10?”
But the other side of that argument is the overriding URGE I have to get on the damn thing again, and try it out on something smoother and longer than my back garden path!
The only time I’ve regretted anything to do with riding the uni so far is when I decided NOT to take it. Then I just spend the time looking at the space/surface/kerbs etc daydreaming about what I could have been doing.
