Another letter to the editor. warning: anti-bush

Hey all -
Warning: uncomfortable for Iraq-war supporters and Bush supporters.

Every so often, the whole Iraq-war-started-by-rich-white-guys-to-get-even-richer thing gets too much for me and I jot off a letter to the editor of the Albany, NY newspaper, the Times Union.

Then, less often, they publish one. Here’s one from today.

Good for you man. I have grown to despise the word “patriotism”. I am against such a government, and I don’t care how unpatriotic it sounds to anyone. They are getting away with murder, without any accountability. Crazy.

Keep spreading the word.

I guess it’s not so bad blaming Bush for gas prices when you blame him for everything else too…

I don’t think it’s about gas prices… it’s about the senseless bloodshed, the deception, the elite secret societies plotting… and that sort of thing.

Did anyone see Stephen Colbert roast George W Bush at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner? The entire dinner presentation is on Google Video:

Colbert was the last feature, so it’s near the end of the video, starting at the 51-minute mark. I found it really funny, but not everyone in the room thought so. He touched on more than a few sore points.

It reminded me and many others of when Don Imus roasted Clinton at the same dinner in 1996 over his womanizing. That was hilarious too, but the White House later asked c-span not to rebroadcast it, which was an extremely stupid thing to do.

The presentation right before Colbert’s is more light-hearted, and features GW lampooning himself…you’ll see what I mean.

I thought Colbert was huge. Here is a camera focusing on Bush during part of it. He didn’t laugh at too much of it.
