in the studio i use audioconvert but i’ll back john childs to pop along any minute now with a link to a freeware programme

I was away at the California Muni Weekend so I’m a little late in replying here.
Sorry, I don’t know of any freeware audio tools that will convert Windows Media Audio files to MP3 or WAV files. It’s not something that I’ve ever needed to do so I haven’t looked for any tools to do it.
Some of the free CD rippers can burn CD’s from WMA files. Maybe one of them will be able to convert a WMA file to a WAV or MP3.
