Ankle

I was trying to do a slalom in my driveway made out of cans, but I brutally cut my ankle on the side of my foot, it is really bleeding. I cut it on the screw holding in the petals. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

dont wear sandles:) just guessing that wouldnt have happeneded with normal shoes

do you mean the thing that juts out a little in the middle of the wheel? if so, that happenend a lot to me when I was learning, and you usally just learn to move your feet a little bit toward the edge of the pedal after a while, but it still happens from time to time, if it is bleeding really bad, you might want to get ankle braces like these, or shoes that go above your ankles

What kind of unicycle do you have and what kind of cranks? Some cranks are more brutal to the ankles than others.

Some soccer shin pads come with removable ankle guards (they can attach to the shin pads with velcro). Look around for some soccer shin pads like that and get them just for the ankle guards. 661 sells a product called Ankle Biter that protects the ankles as well.

Would it mess up the uni if i duck tape a cotton ball to it?

I use these pedals on my KH 20

They are much lighter then almost any medal pedal, and are easy on the flesh. Don’t let the 10 $ price fool you, they are well made and have held up to my 185 lb. hopping fine so far.

Yeah, I think he’s talking about the crank bolts. I call it crankstriking…or ankle biting. It really sucks…and my socks get all bloody when it happens .

It wouldn’t mess it up, it would be a little messed up though.

What kind of cranks do you have?
I used to have KH '03 cranks which ate my ankle all the time, I got THESE, they work very very well.
