I know there is a few unicyclist out there in the know with such things. I am trying to find myself a copy of this game American McGee’s Alice.
Working in rather large games shop myself, i have already searched about with no luck. I was looking mainly for a download or such as it is no longer in production. It is available on Ebay, but that is currently not an option i can consider.
There is apparently a possibility of new one on the way, but we have no information on it (work). I think there is a movie coming out this year too.
From what i remember it is a pretty sprucey game and i would love to play it again.

let me TRY to explain, iv never read the book or seen the movie “Alice in Wonderland”, but i herd its full of odd stuff, like people doing drugs and stuff, ot the hinting of it, and other odd things you wouldn’t think to see.
WELL after I saw a video of the game, I was like WOW, from what I’v herd of the story, the game doesn’t seen like that much of a stretch from what its actually based on.
Ah ok, i understand. Not really odd things as such, most of it can be logically accounted for.
The Game really has nothing to do with the original story apart from the chracters and a few minor sub-plots. It is set after Alice’s parents are killed in an accident and she is sent to a phsych hospital. In the original, Alice’s parents hardly get a mention, let alone a death.

It’s an amazing game. American McGee was a level designer at id Software on the original DooM series. Originally he wanted to do something like Alice on Wizard of Oz, but it was still under copyright. Alice in Wonderland is in the public domain, so he could use the characters from that. Wizard of Oz is now in public domain, and he’s been trying to make a game of that for a few years now.
I actually wrote an essay on Alice in Wonderland vs American McGee’s Alice for my History of Children’s Literature class a few years ago. It was great, I spent my Spring Break “working” on my essay, which meant playing Alice all night Alas, I had to use cheat codes to finish the essay, but the game is still awesome
I suck at explaining my thoughts sometimes, I think more in concepts that sometimes cant be expressed in simple explications(or at least I cant put into simple explinations), so, sometimes, NO one can understand what im trying to say when i type, if you get that at all.
