Air Force Academy Colorado Springs

Anyone go there…
i wana find out a little bit about it, and what goes on there and what kind of classes u can take…
I live in pueblo so it would be close to home…
i heard if u have tattoos that u cant go to school there or something like that…

I believe it’s a lot like West Point.

your first 2 years there, you get to leave the base only 1 day/year.

If you drop out, fail out, or get kicked out after your first 2 years, you must repay all your tuition room and board–VERY expensive.

While in school, you are enlisted in active duty.

well that would suck, because the last thing i want to do is be in the military or any kind of fighting force, but i heard that u can get an excellent education there…
ive been there once for a soccer game (i watched my friend and he played on the crappy fields) but still the place was huge…it looks like its got some areas were id wana go muni at…and they have to have some natural trials somewhere because they are next to a mountain…the place looks pretty cool
but only being allowed to leave 1 day of the year would stink really bad…

i just went and looked at their website…
http://www.usafa.af.mil/index.cfm?catname=Academy%20Info
that has a video…kinda creepy
http://www.usafa.af.mil/index.cfm?catname=AFA%20Homepage
and thats the homepage…
im sure im not gonna go there because i dont want the military side of things…

Don’t let that put you off. Discipline is the key. I regret not going to West Point.

Some great poets benefitted from a West Point education.

Dr. Timothy Leary went to West Point, and went on to become a Harvard psychologist who popularized LSD, without which we may never have had jimi hendrix or electric music for the mind and body, or acid anything.

hahaha…LSD was very dangerous though too…
but i know what you mean with the discipline…

and jimi hendrix was an air force ranger, which is more dangerous.

was he or u messin with me…

but didn’t he pretend to be gay or something to get discharged?

From the Wikipedia article on Jimi Hendrix:

oh, real nice, John.

and what will wikipedia say about YOUR military service?

is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black?
